Before I start using Lenovo Ideapad S10-2 I would ever never expect this quality. It's more than amazing.. First of all forget about recharging your computer.Battery life is more than 6 hours. When it's not in use I put on hibernate, then battery lasts all day long. Very light, I carry everywhere with me in my small purse. Monitor a little bit small, but if you don't have vision problem it's not a big deal at all. About handling if you buy from Amazon you must expect a long waiting time. I had to buy from Amazon to be able to use Amazon card, I have waited about 3 weeks to get it, right after this I bought another regular laptop; even though I paid extra 2 day delivery fee $ 19.80, still I got it in 1 week. For the product it's strongly recommended..

awesome little laptop

great battery life, compact, light, versatile. only a couple of things may hold you back from buying it, the processor is not the fastest but it does the job well, and no dvd/cd drive, however the portability makes up for it. has a built in webcam and wifi. couldnt ask for more. the keyboard is a bit cramped but after some use your hands will get used to it.

I bought this netbook about a month ago. So far, I love it!

The battery life seems to be between 4 - 6 hours, depending on what you're doing. The keyboard is a little small, but since I'm female, that's not been a problem for me. The keys are always where I think they *ought* to be, so no complaints, there. The color is just gorgeous, and is more on the plum side, for those who find this important.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Windows 7 Starter, as I had read horror stories about the limitations it has. This hasn't been a problem for me, yet, and I really don't expect it to be. I mostly surf the web, get email, and watch streaming videos occasionally. I wasn't expecting it to actually HAVE Windows Media Player, since I knew it didn't have Media Center, but it DOES have the player, and it works just fine. As far as Windows 7 Starter, it seems fairly speedy, once I downloaded Spybot S & D, which is what I use to control startup programs. I run a fairly strict firewall, and some other anti-spy software, and this little machine has had NO trouble keeping up with what I want it to do.

The sound and picture are decent, it doesn't get overly warm on the bottom, which my other laptop does, and it has the coolest feature for logging on, which my son LOVES: facial recognition using the included web cam.

Overall, I would purchase again. Amazon's shipping was timely, I had it in about 3 business days, although I wish they would pack electronics as well as they do their books. It did have air pillows in the box, but they had worked their way onto one side, so the manufacturer's box was sliding back and forth inside the Amazon box.

I am more than satisfied with this product. It does everything it is supposed to do. There are a few things I dont like though... Office is a 60 day trial as is McAfee...and i am not getting 6 hrs out of the battery, more like 4. But, this is a good little computer.

Question:

What new gadget should I get? I want a Pink Nintendo DSi but am not sure?

In HMV at the moment there is a deal on for the new Pink Nintendo DSi + Style Boutique Game + Lego Indiana Jones Game + Accessories Pack for £149.99

If I spend another £25 in HMV, I will recieve a £50 HMV voucher as a reward, so I was thinking I could use the reward to get it for £99.99 instead, which is quite a good deal.

What other good deals are out there right now? (up to about £200ish!)
Should I just get this deal? (I only have £80 atm... but this doesn't matter as I will get more shortly!)

I already have a new GC900 mobile phone, iPod Nano, PSP 3000, Nintendo Wii, PS2

Wouldn't mind an iPod Touch? Any good deals?
Or a REALLY cheap laptop or netbook?

Answer:

I'd get the DS lite over the DSi anyday. All the DSi has done is rid the DS of it's compatibility with GBA games, which I really value, and replace it with some pretty useless features. I assume your phone has a camera so you really don't need the DSi's.

If you want the bundle specifically, get that, but I'd say save the money and keep the GBA compatibility. I don't know how much the DS lite is in the UK but it will be a fair bit less.
